FOIA Advisory Committee Subcommittees

Each term of the Federal Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Advisory Committee has created subcommittees to support the Committee's functions. All subcommittees and any working groups report their work and findings to the Committee for deliberation. Generally, each subcommittee has a government and non-government co-chair.

The 2022-2024 term of the FOIA Advisory Committee created the following three subcommittees to support the Committee's functions:

• Implementation Subcommittee

         David Cuillier, University of Florida, and Catrina Pavlik-Keenan, Department of Homeland Security ​

• Modernization Subcommittee

         Jason R. Baron, University of Maryland, and Gorka Garcia-Malene, Department of Health and Human Services 

• Resources Subcommittee

​         Paul Chalmers, Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation, and Gbemende Johnson, University of Georgia
