A Step Saving Kitchen, 1949

A Step Saving Kitchen is a 1949 film written and produced by the Bureau of Human Nutrition and Home Economics, of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), and illustrates kitchen design and construction techniques to promote both efficiency and comfort while working in the kitchen. 

The film demonstrates the “U-shaped kitchen design” and is narrated by USDA home economist, Lenore Sater, as she takes viewers through the various features of the model kitchen.
