MEMORANDUM TO FEDERAL AGENCY CONTACTS: National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) and National Security Agency (NSA) approved to use the Capstone GRS

The Office of the Chief Records Officer is pleased to announce that the first two agencies approved to use General Records Schedule (GRS) 6.1 for email managed under a Capstone approach are the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) and the National Security Agency (NSA).

Before implementing GRS 6.1, agencies must fill out and submit a form NA-1005, Verification for Implementing GRS 6.1, to NARA and receive approval. Information for all active approved verification forms are being made available on GitHub. This site allows the public to view and sort data sets uploaded from approved NA-1005 forms.
