Edith Banshaf vs. Iroquois Theater Company, et al
Transcribe a civil case heard in the U.S. Circuit Court, Chicago in which Edith Banshaf accused the Iroquois Theater Company and George A. Fuller Company of negligence resulting in the death of her husband, George Banshaf, on December 30, 1903 in the Iroquois Theater Fire in Chicago. This disaster was one of the largest loss of life events in Chicago, and led to changes in codes relating to fire escapes and escape doors.
