Capital Asset Plans
The IT Portfolio Dashboard lets stakeholders view details of Federal information technology investments online and track their progress over time. The Federal Acquisition Streamlining Act of 1994 and the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996 require a business case for investments to ensure that those investments are tied to the agency's mission, goals, and objectives. The Business Case structure, outlined by OMB, is designed to document this relationship and implement other requirements such as the Government Paperwork Elimination Act and E-Gov Act implementation and overall IT investment management.
