boundary (Passamaquoddy Bay to the St. Lawrence River)

Textual Records: Records of the commission established under article V of Jay's Treaty (United States-Great Britain, November 19, 1794), to identify the historical St. Croix River boundary, 1796-99. Records of the commission established under article IV of the Treaty of Ghent (December 24, 1814), ending the War of 1812, to settle territorial disputes over islands in Passamaquoddy Bay and over Grand Menon Island in the Bay of Fundy, 1816-18. Records of the commission established under article V of the Treaty of Ghent to determine the northeast boundary from the mouth of the St. Croix River to the St. Lawrence River, 1816-24. Records relating to the arbitration by the King of the Netherlands under terms of the convention of September 29, 1827, for the settlement of the disputed boundary from the St. Croix to the St. Lawrence, 1829-31, including a copy of a 1778 survey of the coast of Nova Scotia. Miscellaneous records, chiefly correspondence and reports, relating principally to boundary disputes between Maine and New Brunswick, 1825-45. Records relating to the arbitration of the Emperor of Germany under article XXXIV of the Treaty of May 8, 1871, between the United States and Great Britain, for the settlement of the disputed boundary from the Bay of Fundy west to the Pacific Ocean, 1872.
