Records Management Application (RMA) Studies

On February 1, 2008, the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) published the results of a 2007 study of Federal agencies who are implementing Records Management Application (RMA) software products to manage their electronic records.

A follow up study was completed in 2008 for three additional agencies, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), U.S. Department of Defense, U.S. Navy, and U.S. Department of the Treasury, Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC). Additionally, we conducted a study of one agency, U.S. Department of Defense, Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) that has implemented Electronic Archiving Software (EAS) technology for e-mail.
