Memorandum To Federal Records Management Contacts: NARA Webinar on Cloud Transfer of Permanent Electronic Records
Please join us on November 2, 2021 at 1:30-3:00 pm (Eastern) for a webinar to discuss potential options for cloud transfers of permanent electronic records to the National Archives.

In this webinar, NARA’s Information Services program will discuss the challenges of cloud transfer and the capabilities that should be in place in order to move forward successfully.
After hearing a presentation from Gulam Shakir, NARA’s Chief Technology Officer, there will be a moderated question-and-answer session with:
- Hannah Bergman, Information Policy Counsel
- Sheena Burrell, Deputy Chief Information Officer.
- Lisa Haralampus, Director, Records Management Policy and Outreach
- Sam McClure, Electronic Records Program Director, and
- Bob Spangler, Program Analyst
This session is intended for Federal records management staff as well as Federal IT staff and contractors who support electronic records management in their agencies.
As we proceed with implementing fully digital government, we recognize the need for modernized records transfer capabilities, and we are working with our IT and ERA staff to meet this challenge. We are excited to offer agencies and the RM vendor community the opportunity to preview what the future holds for transferring permanent records to NARA in a cloud environment.
