Directions

The facility is at 400 West Pershing Road, Kansas City, MO 64108.

From I-35 N
Take I-35 North to the Southwest/Pennway exit (1C). Turn right (East) on Pennway to Broadway. Turn right (South) on Broadway to Pershing Ave. Turn left (East) on Pershing Ave. At the first stoplight, turn left (North) onto the viaduct bridge, arrive at 400 West Pershing.

From I-70 W, I-670, and I-35 S
Take I-70 West to I-670 to the Downtown loop. Exit to I-35 South. Exit at 20th Street. At 20th, turn left (East) to Broadway. Turn right (South) on Broadway to Pershing Ave. Turn left (East) on Pershing. At the first stoplight turn left (North) onto the viaduct bridge, arrive at 400 West Pershing.

From 71 Hwy S
Take 71 Hwy to the 22nd Street exit. Turn left (West) towards Hospital Hill, continue on 22nd Street to Grand Avenue. Turn left (South) on Grand to Pershing, turn right (West) on Pershing. Travel on Pershing to the Broadway viaduct bridge, turn right (North) onto the viaduct bridge, arrive at 400 West Pershing.

From 71 Hwy N
Take 71 Hwy to the 22nd Street exit. Turn right (West) towards Hospital Hill, continue on 22nd Street to Grand Avenue. Turn left (South) on Grand to Pershing, turn right (West) on Pershing. Travel on Pershing to the Broadway viaduct bridge, turn right (North) onto the viaduct bridge, arrive at 400 West Pershing.

Parking

The National Archives at Kansas City has plenty of free parking directly in front of our building.

Additional parking is available in the Union Station parking garage, just east of the Archives.

The research room at the National Archives at Kansas City is open. Research visits are by appointment only and may require a virtual consultation prior to the onsite visit. Please see these frequently asked questions for further information, and email kansascity.archives@nara.gov to request an appointment. The We the People exhibition is open for self-guided tours Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
