Colonel John Francis Monahan's Chaplain File

Monthly Reports and Personnel Records, 1920–1950, (Chaplain’s Files) were compiled by the Department of Defense, Department of the Army, Office of the Chaplain. The page below is from the file of Colonel John Francis Monahan. Beyond the normal monthly reports that the Chaplain's Files contain, Chaplain Monahan’s record contains every letter, post card, and Christmas card he received while in his position. It is, in a sense, a time capsule.
