This slash pile is typical of the work accomplished by the Biles-Coleman slach piling tractor. Notice  the new terminal and lateral growth shoots on the ponderosa pine poles in the background.

Photographic reports compiled by Harold Weaver illustrate forest management on Indian Reservation forests of Washington and Oregon, mainly on Colville where Weaver was Forest supervisor before becoming Regional Forester in 1960. Ther are a few photos of California and Montana and reports of scientific field trips.
