MEMORANDUM TO FEDERAL AGENCY CONTACTS: Reissuance of GRS 6.1 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

The Office of the Chief Records Officer is reissuing Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) about GRS 6.1, Email Managed under a Capstone Approach. Changes to the FAQs include:

1. Revisions to Question 22 providing additional clarification about using General Records Schedules or existing agency authorities to dispose of email prior to applying GRS 6.1 authorities
    
2. Addition of Question 37 “How will NARA screen permanent email containing controlled unclassified information for public access?”
