MEMORANDUM TO FEDERAL AGENCY CONTACTS: NARA's Agency Services Bimonthly Records and Information Discussion Group (BRIDG), Tuesday, June 13, 2017
NARA invites you to attend the next Agency Services Bimonthly Records and Information Discussion Group (BRIDG) meeting on Tuesday, June 13, 2017.
The meeting will be held at the National Archives and Records Administration, 700 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Washington, DC. Metrorail's Yellow or Green lines stop at the Archives/Navy Memorial Station right across the street. Please use the Special Events entrance on the Constitution Avenue side of the building (used as an exit for the general public).
BRIDG consists of three parts. We begin with an informal networking session from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in the Washington Conference Room (mezzanine level). The meeting runs from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the McGowan Theater (basement level). And a Meet-and-Greet with a specific appraisal team is held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Washington Conference Room (mezzanine level).

This month’s Meet-and-Greet will be hosted by Appraisal Team 1 (https://www.archives.gov/ records-mgmt/appraisal/work- group-all.html). This is an opportunity to meet your Appraisal Archivists, FRC account managers (https://www.archives.gov/frc/ acct-reps.html), and records accessioning staff. A reservation is required to attend the Meet-and-Greet. Please send an e-mail to rania.mahmoud@nara.gov to reserve your spot.
Reservations are not required to attend the networking event or the BRIDG meeting itself. NARA reserves the right to postpone or cancel a meeting in accordance with our policy (https://www.archives.gov/ records-mgmt/meetings/# cancellation). - David Miller, Director, Records Management Services, Federal Records Centers Program, will discuss the National Register and National Historic Landmarks digitization project.
- David Weinberg, Director, Federal Records Centers Program, will share some successes of the program during the year.
- Andrea Riley, Supervisor of General Records Schedule Team, will provide an update on the latest GRS transmittal.
- Don Rosen, Director, Records Management Oversight and Reporting and Evangela Wimbush-Jeffrey, Supervisor, Oversight Team 2, will provide an update on records management oversight and reporting activities.
- Gary Rauchfuss, Director, Records Management Training Program, will provide a training update.
