MEMORANDUM TO FEDERAL AGENCY CONTACTS: NARA's Agency Services Bimonthly Records and Information Discussion Group (BRIDG), Tuesday, April 11, 2017
The next Agency Services Bimonthly Records and Information Discussion Group (BRIDG) meeting is scheduled for, Tuesday, April 11, 2017.
The meeting will be held at the National Archives and Records Administration downtown building, 700 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW (Metrorail's Yellow or Green lines to the Archives/Navy Memorial station) in the McGowan Theater. Please enter on the Constitution Avenue side of the building, the "Special Events" entrance (which is actually the exit for the general public).
We will begin with an informal networking hour from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in the Washington Conference Room (mezzanine level). The BRIDG meeting will run from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the McGowan Theater (basement level). A Staff Meet and Greet for Appraisal Teams 2 & 4 agency staff will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Washington Room (mezzanine level).
Meeting agenda items include the following:
Reservations are no longer required to attend the Agency Services BRIDG meeting.
The Staff Meet and Greet will provide an opportunity to meet with Appraisal Archivists and the supervisor from Appraisal Teams 2 & 4, FRC account managers, and records accessioning staff. All agencies listed as part of Teams 2 & 4 are encouraged to attend this meeting. To reserve a place for the Staff Meet and Greet, a reservation is required. - Cindy Smolovik, Supervisor, Records Management Oversight and Reporting Team, will provide an update on records management reporting.
- Ann Cummings, Executive for Research Services, will introduce herself and the mission of Research Services.
- Gary Rauchfuss, Director, Records Management Training, will discuss a new RM course available starting in May 2017, enabling credit cards payments in NARA Learning Center, and the 2018 RM course schedule.
- Gordon Everett, Director, Customer Relationship Management, will provide updates from the Federal Records Centers Program.
- Jennifer Klein and Hannah Bergman from NARA's Office of General Counsel will discuss the recently updated and released Records Management Contract Language (https://www.archives.gov/
records-mgmt/policy/records- mgmt-language.html), and how it can be used in agency contracts. - Kate Russ, National Coordinator for the Annual Move, will discuss the recent memo and communications regarding the 2016 and 2017 Annual Moves.
