MEMORANDUM TO FEDERAL AGENCY CONTACTS: NARA’s Technical Approach to Capstone: An ERM Automation Agency Webinar - Rescheduled to March 11, 2014

This notice reschedules the session as described in AC 11.2014 that was originally planned for 2/13/14 and postponed because of winter weather.

You are invited to an Electronic Records Management Automation Working Group agency presentation by Susan Sullivan, CRM, NARA’s Records Officer, on NARA's implementation of Capstone email management using Gmail and ZL Unified Archive. This presentation will be offered by webinar only on Tuesday, 3/11/14 from 1:00 to 2:30 Eastern Time.

Susan will provide a technical overview of how NARA's system is set up, how it incorporates automation to ease the burden of email records management on the end user, lessons learned, and possibilities for the future.

Note that Susan also offered an in-person presentation on NARA’s Capstone implementation on February 4, which focused on policy and procedure considerations. (See AC 09.2014 for more information.) If you are interested in email management using a Capstone approach, you may want to attend both presentations.

This ERM Automation presentation on 3/11/14 is your chance to learn about the technical side of NARA’s implementation, with a particular focus on Capstone as an approach to increasing automation in Federal records management.
