MEMORANDUM TO FEDERAL AGENCY CONTACTS: 2012 E-Records Forum
I wanted to let you know about the E-Records Forum--a conference that the National Archives is co-sponsoring with the National Association of Government Archives and Records Administrators (NAGARA).
The conference will take place in Austin, TX, on April 25-26 (with an optional pre-conference workshop on April 24). The agenda includes sessions on cloud computing, auto-categorization of email, and tools for preserving electronic records. It also includes an optional tour of the Texas Advanced Computing Center Visualization Lab at UT Austin.
I will be leading a session on the Presidential Memo on Managing Government Records, and my NARA colleague Mark Conrad will speak on Trustworthy Digital Repositories.
Staff from the Fort Worth Federal Records Center will be available throughout the meeting in the expo area to meet with you and answer any questions you might have on FRC services for Federal agencies.
More information on the meeting can be found at www.nagara.org, or by reviewing the recent post on our Records Express Blog at:http://blogs.archives.gov/records-express/?p=1572 . Please feel free to forward this message to others in your agency who might be interested in attending the meeting.
I hope to see you in Austin!
