Memorandum to Federal Records Management Contacts: Revoked NARA Bulletin on Media Neutral Notification Process

I am pleased to announce that NARA has revoked NARA Bulletin 2010-04, Guidance Concerning Notifications for Previously Scheduled Permanent Records. This bulletin is no longer in effect. The bulletin has been labeled as “revoked” and moved to NARA’s past bulletins webpage. 

NARA is revoking the media neutral notification process because we expect agencies to transition to fully digital government, as directed by OMB/NARA memos M-19-21 and M-23-07. NARA no longer needs to be notified when an agency will be transferring electronic records to us instead of paper records.
