This Summer, stop by the National Archives Document Discovery Program at Ellis Island
Discover a number of immigrant stories up close and personal at our Document Discovery Program. Staff will be sharing facsimile National Archives documents about Immigration, Ellis Island, and New York. Visitors can learn about their immigrant heritage and ask staff questions about finding our immigrant ancesters using the holdings of the National Archives.
Document Discovery Programs run from 11am-1pm in the Great Hall on the 2nd floor of Ellis Island National Monument. Programs occur on the third Thursday of the month from June through September on the following dates:
6/15, 7/20, 8/17, 9/21.
No registration required. All programs are free.
This program is in partnership between the National Archives at New York City and Ellis Island National Monument, National Park Service.
