Washington, DC…On Sunday, March 25 at 2 pm, the National Archives celebrates the 2012 Environmental Film Festival with a special “sneak preview” of Ken Burns’s upcoming The Dust Bowl documentary. Ken Burns introduces excerpts from his forthcoming PBS film, The Dust Bowl, about the worst man-made ecological disaster in American history. The film also tells of heroic perseverance and the roles and limits of government.
The Dust Bowl writer and senior producer Dayton Duncan and senior producer Julie Dunfey join Burns for a post-screening discussion. Presented by the Charles Guggenheim Center for the Documentary Film in partnership with the 2012 Environmental Film Festival in the Nation’s Capital.
The William G. McGowan Theater is located in the National Archives Building in Washington, D.C. Metro accessible on Yellow or Green lines, Archives/Navy Memorial station. The public should use the Special Events entrance on Constitution Avenue and 7th Street, NW. To verify the date and times of the programs, the public should call 202-357-5333, or view the Calendar of Events online.
The National Archives is fully accessible and Assisted Listening Devices are available in the McGowan Theater upon request.
