iPHOTOART Launches New Web Site

Washington, DC…National Archives partner iPHOTOART (iPA) announces the launch of its new retail/wholesale web site www.iphotoartdirect.com. Featuring images from the holdings of both the Archives and the New-York Historical Society, the site offers high-quality posters, photographic prints, and giclee prints in two sizes.

Among the many striking images available in the National Archives collection are –

• Beautifully rendered architectural drawings of Cape Hatteras and Execution Rocks lighthouses
  
  
• Unusual patent drawings for household products, design trademarks, and curious inventions
  
  
• Meticulous drawings of early sailing ships from the Charles Ware collection
  
  
• Colorful watercolor illustrations of 19th century forts and historic maps that document famous Civil War battles
  
  
• Rarely seen World War II posters from the Records of the Office of Government Reports
  
  
• Stunning photographs of the Grand Canyon and Old Faithful by Ansel Adams

Each print is produced from a digital file created by scanning the original document, which may exhibit damage such as stains, tears, mold, age spots, or miscellaneous markings not part of the original work. iPA graphic specialists restore each image to its original clarity, vibrancy, and color, while eliminating most of the ravages of time. In some cases, a complementary border is added to the original artwork to format the piece to fit standard frame sizes.

All prints come with a Certificate of Authenticity that lists the title, artist, location, and date, if known, as well as a description of the National Archives of the United States.
