Executive Order 12829, "National Industrial Security Program", has been further amended by section 6 of Executive Order 13691 (changes shown in italics) - This order establishes a National Industrial Security Program to safeguard Federal Government classified information that is released to contractors, licensees, and grantees of the United States Government.
Executive Order 13691," Promoting Private Sector Cybersecurity Information Sharing"- Intended to enable and facilitate "private companies, nonprofit organizations,and executive departments and agencies to share information related to cybersecurity risks and incidents and collaborate to respond in as close to real time as possible."

NISPOM- National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual- A major component of the NISP is the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual, also called NISPOM, or DoD 5220.22-M. The NISPOM establishes the standard procedures and requirements for all government contractors, with regards to classified information.
