Ft. Worth Building 9 Closure

To Our Valued Customers:

The Occupancy Agreement for our Building 9 Annex at the Fort Worth Federal Records Center (FRC) was 
not able to be renewed with the General Services Administration (GSA). Therefore, the Building 9 
Annex at the Fort Worth Federal Records Center (FRC) will be permanently closed for records storage 
and services effective April 30, 2024. All records have or will be moved to the Lenexa FRC located 
at 17501 W. 98th, Lenexa, KS 66219 by April 2024. Please note that NARA will continue to operate 
our Fort Worth FRC and that the closure applies only to our Building 9 Annex in Fort Worth.

We are committed to an efficient and smooth transition for our customers. As the transfers are 
shipped to the new FRC, labels placed on reference requests will reflect the new FRC location. 
While the Archives and Records Centers Information System (ARCIS) is the most accurate way to 
determine where records are located, we have provided some general guidance below.

●  Contact information for reference in Lenexa is kansascity.reference@nara.gov, and for transfers 
is lenexa.transfer@nara.gov.

●  There will be little to no impact on customer operations. User permission changes are not 
necessary in ARCIS and there will be no procedural change when referencing your records.

The FRCP staff works diligently to provide high-quality, cost-effective records storage for our 
customers. We appreciate your partnership with us as we build on our shared commitment to
