1850 Census Entry for Henry David Thoreau and Family

This document includes the 1850 census entry for American author, naturalist, and philosopher Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862) and his family. The Thoreau family was living in Concord, MA, at the time of the census. A prolific writer, Henry David Thoreau is especially known for his 1854 nonfiction book Walden, in which he reflects on his experiences living in a cabin by Walden Pond near Concord.
