We will rebroadcast the August 3 program featuring a discussion with the authors of The Queen and the USA.
Although the United States was born out of revolution against Great Britain, Americans have warmly greeted the reigning British monarch on each of her visits to this country. The Queen and the USA celebrates those ties on the occasion of Elizabeth II’s diamond jubilee. Moderated by Daphne Maxwell Reid, authors H. Edward Mann, Ellen M. LeCompt, and Jacques J. Moore, Jr., will describe the queen’s special relationship with America on the anniversary of her 70 years as queen of England.
