Join us at the Bess Tea commemorating Bess Truman's 140th birthday. Beginning at 2:00 pm in the Auditorium, actress-playwright Kay Kuhlmann will present a solo play titled Memories from Bess on her 140th Birthday. It will be followed by a wreath laying ceremony by the Independence Pioneers Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), and the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR).
The event programming will conclude in the Atrium and the Whistlestop Room with refreshments provided by the DAR.
The event is free and open to the public, but does not include Museum admission.
