Presidents Day at the Truman Library

REGISTRATION
Celebrate America’s presidential history at our favorite presidential Museum. Beginning at 10:00 a.m., meet President Truman and at 11:00 a.m. meet President Lincoln (as portrayed by historical reenactors), enjoy live music and refreshments, and explore self-guided activities for kids.
Beginning at 1:00 pm in the Auditorium, actress-playwright Kay Kuhlmann will present a solo play titled Memories from Bess on her 140th Birthday. It will be followed by a wreath laying ceremony by the Independence Pioneers Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), and the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR).
The event programming will conclude in the Atrium and the Whistlestop Room with refreshments provided by the DAR.
Activities are free but do not include Museum admission.

9:00 am Truman (John Pritchard) and Lincoln (Randy Duncan) arrive
10:00 am Harry S. Truman story time in the Atrium
11:00 am Abraham Lincoln story time in the Atrium
1:00 pm The Bess Tea play by Kay Kuhlmann
2:00 pm (approximately) Wreath laying event in the Courtyard with DAR and SAR
2:15 pm (approximately) The Bess Tea refreshments in the East Rooms
3:00 pm Event ends
