The new Netflix documentary Apollo Thirteen: Survival is an archival footage–led retelling of the most iconic crisis in spaceflight history. In April 1970, a catastrophic explosion left three astronauts stranded halfway to the Moon. What unfolded over the next four days was a rescue mission like no other, a life-or-death drama broadcast in real time to the watching world. (2024; 97 mins.)

Filmmaker Peter Middleton will introduce the film. Following the screening, Teasel Muir-Harmony, Curator of the Apollo Collection, Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, will moderate a discussion with Susan Lovell, daughter of astronaut Jim Lovell.
