Washington, of course, is a very different place these days. But 50 years after the Supreme Court ruling against Nixon’s claims of executive privilege, his subsequent resignation, Ford’s ascension to power, the conflicts of his first 31 days, and the pardon, we still have much to learn from — and continue to feel the repercussions of — those seismic events.
