Honoring Hoover: Family & Historian Roundtable Discussion

In recognition of the 150th birthdays of Herbert and Lou Henry Hoover, descendants of the Hoover Family will discuss the lives and legacies of their great-grandparents, and what it has mean to them to hold the Hoover name.

Honoring Hoover will take place on Herbert Hoover's 150th birthday: August 10, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. in the Figge Auditorium within the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library and Museum. This will coincide with Hoover's Hometown Days, a city-wide celebration of West Branch, Iowa's own and Iowa's only President of the United States, Herbert Hoover.

Hoover family speakers include great-grandchildren Allan Hoover III, Margaret Hoover, and Leslie Hoover-Lauble, as they discuss memories and stories about their great-grandparents. Hoover historian speakers George H. Nash, PhD, and Kenneth Whyte, who have both spent extensive time researching and writing about the Hoovers.

This event is designed in an engaging, open conversation format. Questions from the audience are encouraged and appreciated.

Admission to this event is free, and admission to the Museum on Saturday, August 10 is also free. Tickets and registration is not required.
