Network revolutions of the past have shaped the present and set the stage for the revolution we are experiencing today. In an era of seemingly instant change, historian Tom Wheeler explains in his latest book, From Gutenberg to Google, our ancestors were just as bewildered by rapid upheavals or network changes. The invention of the printing press and of the telegraph each created an information revolution. Wheeler describes the Internet, artificial intelligence, and the need for cybersecurity as laying the foundation for a third network revolution. A book signing follows the program.
