The Archivist of the United States, Dr. Colleen Shogan, will join Paul M. Sparrow, the former director of the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum, in a conversation about his recent book, Awakening the Spirit of America. The book chronicles how President Roosevelt, with the prospect of a war with Germany looming, faced adversaries from within the United States, particularly famed aviator Charles A. Lindbergh, and preserved what he termed “the spirit of America.”
