Friday, March 21, 2025 - 2:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. CDT
Each St. Patrick's Day, the Prime Minister of Ireland presents the President with a vessel filled with shamrocks. Join us at 11 am or 2 pm on Friday, March 21 to learn about the “Shamrock Ceremony.” We'll discuss the history of the tradition from President Truman to today and highlight how President Clinton used the annual event to promote peace in North Ireland. Guests will have an opportunity to view a couple of Waterford crystal bowls during the Clinton administration. Ask an Archivist, Converse with a Curator is free with museum admission.
