Did you know that the Prime Minister of Ireland typically gifts Presidents of the United States a crystal vase filled with shamrocks on St. Patrick's Day? Join us on Friday, March 15 at 11 am and 2 pm for "Ask an Archivist, Converse with a Curator" where we will explore how the annual tradition began and how it has evolved over time. The presentation will highlight how President Clinton used the “Shamrock Ceremony” as a diplomatic tool to promote peace in Northern Ireland.
