The year 2020 marks the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment, which secured women’s right to vote in the U.S. Constitution. Join us to learn about the diversity and depth of centennial commemorations around the country, and enjoy a conversation with the bipartisan leadership of the congressionally chartered Women's Suffrage Centennial Commission as they discuss the ways in which the suffragists fought for equality and continue to inspire American leaders and change-makers towards a more perfect democracy. Moderated by Deputy Archivist of the United States Debra Steidel Wall, panelists include Senator Barbara Mikulski (ret.); Kay Coles James, President of the Heritage Foundation; Colleen Shogan; Senior Vice President, White House Historical Association; and Susan Combs, Former Assistant Secretary, U.S. Department of the Interior.
Presented in Partnership with the Women's Suffrage Centennial Commission (WSCC) and the 2020 Women's Vote Centennial Initiative (WVCI)
