Revolutionary War Commission of Daniel Gallushee, May 19, 1775

This document is a commission issued by the Continental Congress for Daniel Gallushee to serve as a Lieutenant in Colonel Benjamin Ruggles Woodbridge's regiment of militia. The commission was signed by John Hancock, President of the Continental Congress, and Charles Thomson, Secretary of the Continental Congress. Woodbridge's (25th) Regiment formed on April 20, 1775, the day immediately following the Battles of Lexington and Concord. The regiment participated in the Siege of Boston, Battle of Bunker Hill, and Saratoga Campaign.
