MEMORANDUM TO FEDERAL AGENCY CONTACTS: NARA's Agency Services Bimonthly Records and Information Discussion Group (BRIDG), Wednesday, February 17, 2016
The next Agency Services Bimonthly Records and Information Discussion Group (BRIDG) meeting is scheduled for, Wednesday, February 17.
The meeting will be held at the National Archives and Records Administration downtown building, 700 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW (Metrorail's Yellow or Green lines to the Archives/Navy Memorial station) in the McGowan Theater. Please enter on the Constitution Avenue side of the building, the "Special Events" entrance (which is actually the exit for the general public).
We will begin with an informal networking hour from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in the Jefferson Conference Room (mezzanine level). The BRIDG meeting will run from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the McGowan Theater (basement level). A Staff Meet and Greet for Appraisal Team 3 agency staff will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Jefferson Room (mezzanine level).
Meeting agenda items include the following:
- Kevin Pratt, Assistant Director for Military Records, will provide an overview of activities at the National Personnel Records Center.
- Laurence Brewer, Acting Chief Records Officer, will summarize the highlights from the February 11, 2016, NARA/OMB meeting with Senior Agency Officials (SAO) for Records Management. This debrief will include a discussion of agency reactions, agency plans, and actions taken related to the items discussed at the meeting.
- Donald Rosen, Director, Records Management Oversight, will give an update on the results of the recently completed reporting period for the Records Management Self-Assessment and Senior Agency Official (SAO) reports.
- Lisa Haralampus, Director, Records Management Policy and Outreach, will present on the subject of email management success criteria, a new NARA resource for evaluating agency compliance with the Managing Government Records Directive goal for managing all permanent and temporary email electronically.

Reservations are no longer required to attend the Agency Services BRIDG meeting.
The Staff Meet and Greet will provide an opportunity to meet with Appraisal Archivists and the supervisor from FRC account managers, and records accessioning staff. All agencies listed as part of Team 3 are encouraged to attend this meeting. To reserve a place for the Staff Meet and Greet, a reservation is required.
