     Surveys. [1839.]

     1 inch to ca. 9 miles. 37 x 26. Annotated published. Shows

ledges, natural and artificial mounds, lead and copper mines,

towns and villages, and roads and canals. An unidentified grid

has been added in red ink, similar to the township grid, but at

an angle to and with squares numbered differently from the

townships shown on the published map. This map (without

annotations), is published in S. Doc. 140, 26th Cong., 1st sess.,

Serial 357 and another copy without annotations is filed in RG 77
