NARA Issues Books II and III of G. W. Bush Public Papers, 2004

New volumes cover speeches, news conferences, and more, July 1-December 31, 2004

The National Archives announced today that the second and third volumes of the “Public Papers of President George W. Bush, 2004” are available for sale. These hardcover volumes were compiled by the Office of the Federal Register, an agency of the National Archives and Records Administration.

“Public Papers of President George W. Bush, 2004, Book II” is 1088 pages and covers July 1 to September 30, 2004. “Public Papers of President George W. Bush, 2004, Book III” is 912 pages and covers October 1 to December 31, 2004. Both volumes contain the text of public speeches, news conferences, messages and statements, and communications to Congress. All materials are indexed by subject and name and listed according to document category. Four appendices are included with each volume, which provide supplementary materials such as the President's public schedule, nominations submitted to the Senate, and lists of other White House releases and documents published in the Federal Register.

The books are available for purchase from the Superintendent of Documents, Government Printing Office (GPO). “Public Papers of President George W. Bush, 2004, Book II” is $138.00 (Stock No. 069-000-00164-5). “Public Papers of President George W. Bush, 2004, Book III” is $120.00 (Stock No. 069-000-00165-3). All orders must be accompanied by remittance (check, money order, GPO Deposit Account, VISA, or Master Card) and mailed to the Superintendent of Documents, Government Printing Office, P.O. Box 371954, Pittsburgh, PA 15250-7954.
