Land Ownership in California and the Transition to a Government: Teaching Activities
Teaching Activities
- Have students draw a diseño of their classroom, playground, or home. Then, have them do a basic measured drawing of the same space to see how the two compare.
- Have students pretend to be a Mexican citizen writing the Governor to ask for a land grant.
- Have students determine and discuss differences and similarities apparent in various systems of measurement (English, metric, etc.).
