The National Archives Online
The National Archives holds over ninety six billion original documents, created by over five hundred federal agencies.  These documents are just waiting there to be an important part of your historical project, lesson plan, or family history project.  The National Archives is working daily to make these records more available by placing document descriptions and digital images online.  Come learn how and where to find them!

Overview of the National Archives
What is a repository?  What is an original document?  What does NARA-Pacific Alaska Region, Seattle have to offer historians, journalists, educators, librarians, genealogists, and everyone else?  Come hear an overview of the types of documents held by the National Archives and how the public can access this most valuable information.

We are open between 7:45 AM and 4:15 PM Monday-Friday
and the second Saturday of the month from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Our convenient facility can accomodate groups between 8 and 40 adults.
Arrangements must be made in advance and take place place during our regular office hours

All classes can be presented as 2 to 3 hour workshops or 1 hour lectures. Additionally, a tour of the facility is often included.

Cost: All suggested donations, if requested, are payable by cash or check at the door.

Location: NARA-Pacific Alaska Region, 6125 Sand Point Way NE, Seattle, WA 98115. Classes are held either in the upstairs Conference Room or our new Learning Center.

Registration: Advance registration is advised. Classes are held on a first come, first served basis. To register, call 206-336-5115, or e-mail: seattle.archives@nara.gov, or in person during normal business hours, 7:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., Monday-Friday.

Cancellation policy: We reserve the right to cancel a class due to low enrollment or adverse weather.
