Transfer and Disposal
How much does it cost to store records at your facility?
The standard storage cost is $ .20/cubic foot/month. The vault storage cost is $ .53/cubic foot/month.
How do I obtain an electronic SF-135?
An electronic SF-135 may be obtained by contacting the
Transfer Technician.
What is meant by item 6(h) on the SF-135, "disposal authority"?
The disposal authority is the records control schedule and item number of the record series the agency will be retiring. Every agency has a records control schedule. If you are unable to locate your records control schedule, contact the Records Management Division of your agency in Washington, DC. If you need assistance contact the Transfer Technician.
How do I get the boxes to the records center?
Federal customers within a 100-mile radius of the Records Center may contact the Metro-Courier Coordinator to schedule a pick up. You may send the boxes using the USPS, UPS, FedEx, common carrier or deliver them via private courier.

I sent a request for a case file on mm/dd/yyyy and I have not received the record.
Did you get my request?
If you submitted your request via e-mail, you should have received notification as to the status of your request within one business day of submission. To confirm requests submitted in any other fashion, please contact the Lead Archives Technician.

Do you have VA medical folders from (city) for YYYY?
All VA medical folders formerly stored at the Waltham Records Center
have been transferred to the custody of the Department of Veterans Affairs Records
Center and Vault (VA RC& V) in Neosho, MO. Please visit their Web site at
