COOP Working Groups
NARA's Northeast Region has partnered with FEMA and other agencies to form the COOP Working Groups in Boston and New York. The group coordinates its activities with the Federal Executive Board and GSA. The COOP Working Group provides a forum for mid-level staff from different agencies to meet and exchange information and ideas on information technology (IT), disaster planning, interagency cooperation, lessons learned, and business resumption. IT staff contribute their knowledge of current practices in electronic recordkeeping to the discussion of how best to prepare for an emergency. Records Management Groups
NARA Northeast Region hosts RM Groups in Waltham and New York City. These informal gatherings meet periodically to provide a relaxed and collegial setting to network and brainstorm about records management concerns and solutions. At each meeting, we'll inform you of NARA news and information. And, you'll have a forum to pose your RM questions. The groups are geared to RM practitioners, including those with an interest in RM, such as IT, administrative, and program professionals. Participants vary from beginner to advance RM expertise, as well as in the complexity of their records management responsibilities.
