Memorial of the Territory of Arizona praying for Statehood, March 11, 1899 and Memorial of the Territory of New Mexico seeking admission as a state, March 28, 1901

For many years the people in the New Mexico and Arizona Territories petitioned Congress seeking admission into the Union. The territorial governments sent these memorials to Congress asking for statehood.
