National Archives August 2014 Genealogy Workshop

Kansas City (MO)…The National Archives at Kansas City will offer one free genealogy workshops in August. Navigating will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2014 from 10:00-11:30 a.m. The workshop will be held at 400 West Pershing Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64108.

Workshop Description:


Saturday, August 9 from 10:00 11:30 a.m.

Through a partnership with subscription-based genealogy website, the National Archives is able to provide access to select digitized records. The website contains a wealth of information, but unless you understand the structure and depth of the website, your search results will be limited. Come learn about the different databases and effective search strategies to uncover more about your ancestors. Patrons are encouraged to bring Wi-Fi enabled device to use during in class.
