Kennedy, and the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., signed by President Donald J. The National Archives’ Role in Fulfilling Executive Order 14176
As custodian of the President John F. Kennedy Assassination Records Collection, the National Archives fulfills an essential role in making these records available to the American people.
All records in the President John F. Kennedy Assassination Records Collection will be made available online.
The National Archives does not have authority to declassify records. We are excited to work with partner agencies across the Executive Branch to implement the President’s determinations for release.
How Will The National Archives Make Records Available?
The National Archives is ready to receive and process any further declassification decisions made by President Trump or by other agencies of the United States Government.
As determinations are made and records are digitized, the National Archives will post the records online, at this webpage, on a rolling basis.
Most Kennedy Assassination Records Are Already Available
