2010 National Declassification Center Forum

On June 23, 2010, The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA)/Information National Declassification Center (NDC) hosted a forum at the William G. McGowan Theater located in the National Archives Building.

This forum discussed the Draft Prioritization Plan for the National Declassification Center (NDC). In Executive Order 13526, President Obama directed the newly established NDC to create such a plan and seek public input. The NDC has published the draft Plan on its website , established an NDC Blog to begin an on-line discussion and is hosting this forum. The NDC Director will use the plan to prioritize the declassification and release of Federal records in the custody of the National Archives, and the adjudication of referrals in Presidential materials through the Remote Archives Capture (RAC) program." The NDC will periodically update its plan and continue to provide avenues for public input and discussion."
