The Great War, The Great Movies-Russian Revolution Epics
The National Archives - Central Plains Region and the National World War I Museum are presenting the following films free to the public. Each film will be introduced and will be shown in the Nichols Auditorium at the National World War I Museum at Liberty Memorial, 100 W 26th St. Kansas City, MO 64108
Friday February 23: Doctor Zhivago (1965) starring Omar Sharif and Julie Christie, directed by David Lean, introduced by Eli Paul, Museum Director, National World War I Museum. Note: This film is 4 hours long and will include an intermission.
Friday March 9: Nicholas and Alexanda (1971) introduced by Tim Rives, Archivist, National Archives-Central Plains Region. Note: This film is 4 hours long and will include an intermission.
Friday March 30: Reds (1981) written, produced and starring Warren Beatty, with Diane Keaton, introduced by Tim Rives, Archivist, National Archives-Central Plains Region. Note: This film is 4 hours long and will include an intermission.
