The National Archives-Central Plains Region will pay tribute to our nation's veterans on Saturday November 10, with a day-long series of events hosted by the National World War One Museum at Liberty memorial. All events are free.

10:00am - Neil Hanson lecture, author of Unknown Soldiers: The Story of the Missing of the First World War.
11:00am-3:00pm- National Archives records related to conscription of Kansas City-area men will be available for research.
11:30am & 2:30pm - "How do I find a Military Service Record?" Presentation by National Archives staff from the National Personal Records Center, St. Louis, MO
1:00pm - Performance by Kansas City Ukesters
3:30pm - Film screening: The Return of Paul Jarrett
All day - "Visions of Valor" exhibit - Research Center Gallery

The Central Plains Region is one of 14 facilities nationwide where the public has access to Federal archival records. It is home to more than 43,000 cubic feet of historical records dating from the 1820s to the 1990s, created or received by nearly 100 Federal agencies. The Central Plains Region houses records from the states of Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, and South Dakota. The facility is located at 2312 E.
