You don't have to go to Washington, D. C. to visit the National Archives! We invite area Girl Scout Troops to visit us for an educational tour on Saturday, April 15.
We hold over 42,000 cubic feet of important historical documents, photos, maps, charts, and even films dating from the 1820s to the 1990s from federal agencies and courts in Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North and South Dakota. Troops will learn what we do and how they can use the records we keep for family history research or school projects.
Tours will include a special behind the scenes look at some of our amazing historical documents and an activity. This tour will coordinate with the requirements for several badges. Advance registration is required; sign up early!
