Chief Strategy and Communications Officer: Donna M Garland
The Office of Strategy and Communications serves as NARA’s authority on the development and implementation of NARA’s strategy, brand identity and message definition, and communication engagement with external and internal stakeholders, the Congress, the media, the general public, professional groups, the Foundation for the National Archives, and current and prospective partners. In coordination with the Archivist, Deputy Archivist, the Chief Operating Officer and other NARA executive teams and units, the Office of Strategy and Communications develops long-range strategies and plans on for the agency. The implementation and management of the Plain Writing Act resides under this office’s function.
The Office of Strategy and Communications is led by the Chief Strategy and Communications Officer and consists of the Communications and Marketing Division, Strategy Division, and Partnerships Division.
